After a hearty breakfast in Pokhara, embark on a drive to Gha-chowk, the starting point of your trek. Khumai Dada sits high up on the northern side of Pokhara, reaching 3245m in elevation. Nestled at the foot of the south side of Macchapuchre, it’s part of the Macchapuchre Model Trek. You can finish the Khumai Danda trek in 3-4 days from Pokhara, and if you’re up for it, you can stretch it to a week by adding the Mardi Himal trek to your plans.

 

Being at Macchapuchre’s base, the scenes of the Himalayas and the sunrise from the top spot, Korchan (3700m), are breathtaking. What makes Khumai Danda special is not just the stunning views but also the tranquil trekking path, pure natural beauty, dense forests, and charming villages like Saripakha, Hile Kharka, and Mirsha Village.
