Arrive in Kathmandu, meet your trekking guide, and have a trip briefing.

Early morning flight to Lukla. Begin trekking towards Phakding.

Continue trekking along the Dudh Koshi River. Cross suspension bridges and ascend to Namche Bazaar.

Acclimatization hike to Everest View Hotel or Khumjung Village. Explore Namche Bazaar, its market, and monasteries.

Descend to the Dudh Koshi River and ascend through forests. Reach Tengboche with its famous monastery.

Descend through forests and cross the Imja Khola. Trek through Pangboche village and reach Dingboche.

Acclimatization hike to Nangkartshang Peak for panoramic views. Rest and prepare for higher altitudes.

Trek through Dughla and witness memorials for climbers. Ascend to Lobuche village.

Trek to Gorak Shep. Continue to Everest Base Camp.

Early morning hike to Kala Patthar for sunrise views. Descend to Pheriche.

Descend through Pangboche and Tengboche. Continue to Namche Bazaar.

Best Seasons for Gokyo Valley and Everest Base Camp Trekking:

Gokyo Valley and Everest Base Camp Trekking, best time from March to May when most days are clear for views and as well for pleasant walks with moderate temperatures and longer sunlight hours, and on this time of season when wild flowers are in full bloom, enjoy bright and beautiful wild flower especially rhododendron of various species from trees to bush of different colored flowers (national flower of Nepal the rhododendron).

March to May in late afternoon can be cloudy with chances of rain and snow around higher altitude and at high Cho-la pass.

Mid September to early December in autumn /fall and pre winter another best time for clear blue sky and sunny days (for short while from morning to mid day) can be cold and freezing during morning and night times above 2,000 m high.

Sunlight hours are short during autumn and winter seasons but most morning till late afternoon are clear for views and pleasant walks.

At Namche with acclimatization days and to explore lovely culture and traditional life of the native Sherpa, especially on Saturday where a busy bazaar takes place once a week an interesting activities to witness if the day in Namche falls at the right time for market.

From Namche leaving the main popular route heading towards north within narrow valley and gorge within green woodland and then heading into a dry mountainous country where tree lines fades for higher mountains and arid terrain to reach at Gokyo valley and its beautiful lakes.

Enjoy grand moments at Gokyo where next adventure leads to cross high and scenic Cho-la pass to reach our main highlight at Everest Base Camp where you will be standing beneath world highest Mt. Everest within close to Khumbu Ice-Fall and glaciers.

After base camp climbing to a highest point of the adventure on top Kalapathar at 5,545 m overlooking mind-blowing scenery of giant peaks that surrounds you with closest views of Mt. Everest, enjoying glorious mountain panorama then head back to Lukla via Namche bazaar for final overnight around Everest and Khumbu.

What is Everest Base Camp (EBC)?

Everest Base Camp is the starting point for climbers attempting to summit Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world. It is located at an altitude of approximately 5,364 meters (17,598 feet) above sea level in the Khumbu region of Nepal.

How do I get to Everest Base Camp?

The most common way to reach Everest Base Camp is by trekking from Lukla, a small mountain airstrip in Nepal. You can take a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and start your trek from there. The trek usually takes around 12-14 days round trip.

Do I need previous trekking experience to reach EBC?

While previous trekking experience can be helpful, it is not mandatory. The Everest Base Camp trek is challenging but can be undertaken by anyone with a good level of fitness and a strong determination to complete the journey.

When is the best time to trek to Everest Base Camp?
