Itinerary

On arrival at Nepal international airport in Kathmandu, where Professional Trekking Guide staff receives with warm welcome and then transfer to your hotel in the hub of Kathmandu.

On checking your rooms getting refreshed then join in at hotel foyer / lobby meeting with other members of the trek, where our guide will brief you with information regarding Khopra Hill and Khair Lake Trekking.

Evening group welcome dinner in a nice Nepalese environment restaurant with native folk culture programs along with the dinner.

A free day in Kathmandu you can enjoy at leisure as well preparation for the trek, on this day interested people can join in our exciting guided sightseeing tour for half or full day tour at places of great interest around World Heritage Sites.

Morning either in charted bus, or in car as well in tourist coach (depending upon the size of a group), where overland journey takes you on main busy Nepal highway to reach country Mid-West at beautiful Pokhara.

Pokhara an amazing city located on the laps of towering Annapurna Mountain range with famous Machhapuchare Himal ‘Fish Tail’ where reflection of the peaks touches its serene Phewa Lake.

At Pokhara transfer to your respective hotels by the lake side with time wander 8on the street around the lake lined with shops and stores with many good hotels and restaurants.

Wonderful adventure begins taking a short exciting drive to reach on the outskirt of Pokhara valley to reach at Nayapul or Bhirethati a nice and lovely village, from here within low warm area then start our walk of the day.

Walk leads to a climb past farm villages and beautiful water falls to reach at Hille and Tirkhedhunga, and then with long steep climb for an hour to reach at Ulleri village for overnight night stop.

The village offers views of Annapurna South and top of Machhapuchare Himal ‘Fish Tail’.

Our adventure and walk for second day takes you to top Ulleri village with steady strenuous climb on stone steps, with time for rest on reaching Ulleri a nice and large farm village.

From here on gradual path as walk lead past Bhanthati village, where route heads into cool shade of alpine forest covered with tall rhododendron-magnolia-oaks-pines and fir trees as trek progress then reaching at Ghorepani village for overnight stop.

Ghorepani inhabited mostly by Poon a Magar tribe native of Western Nepal Himalaya, this scenic village located on the bottom of Poon Hill.

Early morning hike where climb takes on top Poon Hill at above 3,210 m, rewards you with superb sunrise views over 360° wide range of Himalayan peaks from Dhaulagiri, Mustang Himal, Nilgiri’s, Annapurna, Machhapuchare peak with Lamjung and Manaslu Himal.

After great scenic time walk down to Ghorepani for breakfast and continue trek with descend to reach at Chitre village with views of Dhaulagiri mountain range, from here our route diverts from main trekking trails towards hidden areas of Annapurna Himalaya.

A short walk of few hours on leaving Chitre to reach at Sauta village for overnight stop in one of best available simple local lodges.

After Sauta village morning on pleasant trail, then climb to reach small farm areas at Chistibung located within alpine forest of tall rhododendron-oaks and pines trees.

After refreshing stop where climb leads beyond tree lines to reach Khopra high hill located on a ridgeline, at Khopra for overnight with glorious views of Dhaulagiri range with Tukuche, Nilgiri’s, Vara-Shikar (Annapurna Fang) and Annapurna South.

A rest and free day at Khopra to enjoy its beautiful surrounding of high snow-capped peaks, here with options for long hike to Khair Lake the highest point of the adventure at 4,595 m high.

As walk starts to cover the longest trek and hike of the adventure as trail follow up hill to the end of a ridge on narrow path with short descend to reach at Khair Lake.

Considered as holy site where annual religious festival takes place once a year in the month of August during Full Moon time, villagers of surrounding area visits here and offer prayer to Lord Shiva and bathe in icy waters, sacrifices sheep and goats to mountain spirits.

After a great enjoyable time at holy Khair Lake return back to Khopra for last overnight around most beautiful and scenic spot.

After a grand wonderful time around Khopra and Khair Lake, morning walk heads east as trail follows past grazing area and into rhododendron forest, to reach our overnight stop at Dobato.

Dobato in the middle of woods a small open area which is a summer pasture and grazing land for local herders facing views of Annapurna South and Mt. Machhapuchare the ‘Fish Tail’ peak.

With time around isolated areas of Annapurna morning walk on downhill for few hours to reach on the main trekking trail at Tadapani, a small settlement with houses serving as nice lodge for trekkers.

From here a pleasant walks within deep cool forest as path lead to descend towards farm area on reach a large Ghandruk village for overnight stop with fabulous views of Annapurna Himalaya range.

Ghandruk an interesting Gurung village with many good lodges in the shade of high Annapurna peaks and scenic landscapes, here with ample time to explore around Gurung village.

Gurung people are farmers and cattle herder of age-old profession interwoven with Buddhism religion and as well practices their ancestral rites of Bon sect (pre Buddhism) worshipping nature and mountains as holy spirits.

Morning last day walks of the adventure as morning lead downhill to reach near River at Syali village, and then with gradual walk to Bhirethati or at Nayapul where treks completes.

On reaching main motorable road, and then few hour drive reach you at Pokhara after a most enjoyable and scenic time on high hills around Annapurna Poon Hill Panorama trekking.

On leaving Pokhara where exciting drive take you back in Kathmandu as journey continues on same interesting road to Kathmandu to reach back at your hotels, with afternoon free to enjoy personal and individual activities and shopping.

March to May and September to November months of the year, March to May when most of day is clear for views and pleasant walks with moderate temperatures, longer sunlight hours when wild flowers are in bloom, especially rhododendron of various species from trees to bush of different colors (national flower of Nepal the rhododendron).

March to May where late afternoon can get cloudy with chances of rain and snow in higher altitude sometimes.
