Itinerary

On arrival at Nepal international airport in Kathmandu, where Professional Trekking Guide staff receives with warm welcome and then transfer to your hotel in the hub of Kathmandu.
On checking your rooms getting refreshed then join in at hotel foyer / lobby meeting with other members of the trek, where our guide will brief providing information on Everest Base Camp trekking.
Evening group welcome dinner in a nice Nepalese environment restaurant with native folk culture programs along with the dinner

A free day in Kathmandu you can enjoy at leisure as well preparation for the trek, on this day interested people can join in our exciting guided sightseeing tour for half or full day tour at places of great interest around World Heritage Sites.

Morning as time for Lukla flight a short drive to Kathmandu domestic airport for short scenic flight to Lukla on smaller aircraft (Dornier / Twin Otter or similar) after 30 minutes flight lands at Lukla airport, where walk begins to Phakding.
Lukla airport named ‘Tenzing-Hillary’ in respect to first conqueror of Mt. Everest, and from Lukla with refreshing stop, walk starts downhill and then on gradual path heading into nice Sherpa village to reach our first overnight stop at Phakding village near Dudh Kosi River.

Today’s walk starts on pleasant trail within small forest of pines and rhododendron trees facing views of peaks, as walk follows river upstream to cross a long bridge to enter Sagarmatha National Park near Monjo village.
Sagarmatha National Park also a world heritage sites from here walk follows on river gorge and to cross a high bridge where long uphill climb leads to Namche Bazaar, a large village almost the size of a town and the hub of Sherpa as well for visitors.
At Namche Bazaar the only place on route base camp with facilities of ATM, Banks, post office, Cyber Café, Trekking / Climbing stores and shops with café, bakeries and restaurants include views of Kwangde peaks.

Namche Bazaar an ideal place for rest and for acclimatization day at an altitude 3,440 m high, morning having breakfast where short excursion and hike takes you on top of Namche a place with interesting museum provide information of the Khumbu / Everest area of Sherpa religions, culture, history, mountaineering to flora and flora.
High hill of Namche offers stunning views of Amadablam, Tharmarserku, Kantega, Kwangde, Khumbila with Mt. Everest and Lhotse towards North, after an impressive morning head back to lodge for lunch with afternoon free to relax and catch up with the dairy and browse around the street of Namche, where once a week Saturday market / bazaar takes place.

Enjoying rest day at Namche, morning with short climb and then walk on scenic trail along the path lined with rhododendron and pine trees with views of Amadablam and Everest.
As walk then descend to Imjatse River at Phunge Tenga, a small place with few tea shops, a favorite lunch stop place.
After a refreshing break, where second half of the trek leads to a climb for few hours into cool shade of forest to reach on top at Tengboche and the monastery, a scenic spot with grand views of Amadablam, Kantega, Thamersarkhu, Kwangde and Mt. Everest.

Morning enjoy panorama of mountains with Everest, after breakfast downhill into nice rhododendron and pines forest, a pleasant walk to reach a bridge over Imja Khola.
From the bridge slow climb to reach the last permanent village at Pangboche on the way towards Everest Base Camp, after Pangboche tree line stops.
Walk slowly leads with views of Mt. Amadablam at close distance, after a nice day trek reaching at Dingboche for overnight stop.

Another pleasant rest day at Dingboche for better acclimatization morning enjoy walk to some view point hills to gain more altitude to support acclimatization.
Dingboche offers views of Amadablam North Face with Island / Imjatse Peak, includes Nuptse and Lhotse mountains, a short high climb to a high ridge provides views of world’s 5th highest Mt. Makalu and Amphu Labtsa peaks.

After Dingboche, morning walk climb towards a high hill and then a nice pleasant trail to Thugla ( Dugla) located on midway where Pheriche and Dingboche path joins towards Everest Base Camp.
Thugla a nice place for lunch stops overlooking views of Taboche, Cholatse, Lobuche, Pumori, Amadablam, after lunch short steep climb up at Thugla small pass and a ridge top within terminal debris of Khumbu Glacier, here one can notice memorials of unfortunate mountaineers and climbers.
After a short stop with gradual walk to reach at Lobuche for overnight stop in the comfort of nice cozy lodge.

Adventure today takes you to our main final highlights, as morning starts with climb above Khumbu glacier facing view of Mt. Pumori, Lingtrin, Khumbutse and Mt. Everest then reach at Gorakshep, a place with few lodges before Everest Base Camp; after a refreshing stop walk to Everest Base Camp as path leads over moraine to reach our ultimate goal at Everest Base Camp.
A Base Camp enjoying fascinating moments within close to massive Khumbu Ice fall and glacier, where return journey takes you back to Gorakshep for overnight stop after a great day walk of the adventure.

Morning leads to steep climb of few hours to reach on the highest spot of the adventure on top of Kalapathar at 5,545 meters high, where you have superb vista of surrounding high peaks with Mt. Everest at close distance.
After a great wonderful panorama walk down to Gorakshep and continue trek towards Pheriche windy valley for lunch stop.
Pheriche a temporary settlement near Dingboche with more than 20 lodges and teahouses with grand views of Taboche, Cholatse, Amadablam and as far to
Mt. Cho-Oyu in the distance north west, from here on easy walk with short ups and down to Pangboche village for overnight stop.

From Pangboche pleasant downhill to a bridge with an hour climb up to Tengboche back within trees lines and green vegetation.
With time at Tengboche retrace the journey back to Namche Bazaar for overnight stop before Lukla.

A pleasant and relaxing walk as route heads back to Lukla on this last day trek of the adventure, with few short climb brings you back to Lukla for last overnight stop around Khumbu and Everest and farewell to our loyal and friendly porters.

Flight starts early morning, transfer to Tenzing and Hillary air terminal at Lukla airport on boarding the plane a sweeping flight of 35 minutes brings you back in Kathmandu and then transfer to respective hotels with rest of the day free at leisure.

In Kathmandu a spare as contingency day just in case of flight delay and cancellation at Lukla or in the beginning of the trek, which occurs quite often even in the best time of the year due where bad and unfavorable weather conditions hamper the flight.
If all goes well as our standard itinerary days, where people with interest can join in for optional tour around Kathmandu around place of great interest or enjoy free individual activities and shopping.

Final and last day in the country of Himalaya wonders with varied interesting cultures, after a memorable time and experience on Everest Base Camp trekking, with time for your international flight, where our staff and guide transfer you to the airport for flight back home or to next respective port of call.
Please Note:
As per Nepal Civil Aviation rules and norms where flight to Lukla from Kathmandu does not takes place, since last few months from March 2019 where flight operates from a town of Ramechap which is due east from Kathmandu.
To reach Ramechap takes 4-5 hrs drive on private vehicles and vice versa on the way back from Lukla also.

Best Seasons for Everest Base Camp Trekking:

Nearly all months of the year can trek to Everest Base Camp, except wet time of monsoon seasons from June to mid September when days are cloudy that obstructs views of mountains with rains and dark heavy clouds.

But much greener with lush rich vegetations (not recommended during monsoon wet months unless for botanical people and students to study flora and fauna of the region)

Best time from March to May when most days are clear for views and as well for pleasant walks with moderate temperatures and longer sunlight hours, and on this time of season when wild flowers are in full bloom, enjoy bright and beautiful wild flower especially rhododendron of various species from trees to bush of different colored flowers (national flower of Nepal the rhododendron).

March to May in late afternoon can be cloudy with chances of rain and snow around higher altitude.

Mid September to December around autumn /fall and pre winter one of the best times with clear blue sky and sunny days (for short while from morning to mid day) can be cold and freezing during morning and night times above 1,800 m high.

Sunlight is short during autumn and winter seasons but most of the morning till late afternoon are clear for views and pleasant walks.
