Itinerary

Day 1Arrival and Half Day Sightseeing in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at the airport, a representative from Third Rock Adventures will be there to greet you and accompany you to your hotel in Thamel.

On this very day, you’ll have the opportunity to explore two distinguished UNESCO World Heritage sites in Kathmandu: Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayambhunath Stupa.

Our first stop will be Kathmandu Durbar Square, one of the three medieval squares in the Kathmandu Valley. It’s a prime example of Nepalese architecture at its finest. Once the sightseeing here concludes, we’ll head to the Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, perched atop a hill. From here, you’ll be treated to a breathtaking panoramic view of the Kathmandu Valley.

As the day comes to a close, we’ll make our way back to your hotel for a restful overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 2Sunrise at Nagarkot and Changunarayan Hike – Bhaktapur Sightseeing

Rise early, before the break of dawn, and embark on a journey to the Nagarkot viewpoint. Here, you’ll be treated to a truly awe-inspiring sight: the sunrise painting the sky over the magnificent mountains, including the towering Mount Everest and the grandeur of the entire Himalayan range.

After soaking in this breathtaking view, you’ll commence a hike along the trail leading to the Changunarayan temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site nestled within the Kathmandu Valley.

Our next destination will be Bhaktapur Durbar Square, another distinguished UNESCO World Heritage site. This square boasts notable landmarks like the 55-window palace, the Nyatapola temple, and the iconic Lion’s Gate. While here, you’ll also have the chance to wander through the square, immersing yourself in the unique lifestyle and architecture of the Newari community.

Upon completing the sightseeing, we’ll make our way back to your hotel, where you’ll spend a restful night in Kathmandu.

Day 3Sightseeing- Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath temple and Departure

On this final day of the tour, we’ll focus on visiting two significant UNESCO World Heritage sites: Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple.

Our first stop will be the revered Pashupatinath Temple, the holiest Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Following our exploration of this sacred site, we’ll proceed to Boudhanath Stupa, a major highlight of Kathmandu. This stupa is renowned for being one of the largest in the world.

At this point, if you have a scheduled flight back to your home, we’ll ensure you’re promptly taken to the airport. However, if you wish to extend your stay in Kathmandu, we can assist with the necessary arrangements. Your comfort and preferences are our priority.
