Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m/4,592ft) and Sightseeing

On this day, you’ll land at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal. Upon arrival, our guide will warmly welcome you. You’ll then be chauffeured to a hotel located in the vibrant area of Thamel. After settling in and getting some rest, you’ll set out to explore the city.

Kathmandu truly lives up to its reputation as the city of temples, with countless shrines, statues, and divine edifices gracing the alleyways of Kathmandu Durbar Square in Basantapur. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the Hanuman Dhoka Museum, a historic palace of the ruling Shah Dynasty.

If time permits, consider venturing to the western hills for a panoramic 360-degree view of the valley from the elevated vantage point of Swayambhunath Stupa.

You’ll spend the night at the hotel, no doubt filled with anticipation for the adventures that await.

Day 2Morning fly to Pokhara (800m/2,624ft) and afternoon Pokhara sightseeing - 25 minutes flight

Today brings a new wave of adventure as you embark on an early morning flight to the enchanting ‘city of lakes,’ Pokhara. As you descend, you’ll be greeted by breathtaking close-up views of Mt. Machhapuchhre and the majestic Annapurna range. Upon arriving at your hotel and freshening up, make your way to the picturesque Phewa Lakeside in Badam. Here, you can revel in the serenity of the lake through a delightful boating experience, with a stopover at the island temple of Tal Barahi.

In the afternoon, continue your exploration with visits to popular tourist spots such as the bat cave and the Mahendra Cave. Noteworthy among them is the esteemed International Mountain Museum, housing a remarkable collection of articles, clothing, and tools pertaining to the Himalayan community and mountaineering. In close proximity lies the renowned Davis Falls, a sight that promises captivating photographs.

After a day filled with exploration, treat yourself to a candlelit dinner at one of the fine restaurants nestled in Lakeside, Pokhara.

You’ll spend the night in Pokhara, surely with a sense of fulfillment from the day’s adventures.

Day 3Early sunrise tour, afternoon fly to Chitwan national park

Another exciting day in Pokhara begins with an early rise, even before the break of dawn. You’ll embark on a drive to the nearby Sarangkot Hills, renowned for offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. From here, you’ll witness the sun ascending over the horizon, casting a golden and silver glow on the towering Annapurna and the iconic Mt. Machhapuchhre, both standing at over 7000 meters above sea level.

After soaking in this breathtaking panorama, return to your hotel to gather your belongings. From there, make your way to the domestic airport in Pokhara for a flight to the next leg of your journey, Chitwan.

Upon landing in Chitwan, you’ll be met with tropical warmth, accompanied by lush greenery. Enveloped by the densest of forests, this region serves as a sanctuary to a diverse array of wildlife, including 55 different mammal species and an astounding 525 bird species, the highest concentration in Nepal. Once you settle into your hotel, seize the opportunity to immerse yourself in the Tharu communities that reside near Chitwan National Park. Delight in their authentic local cuisine, which may include delicacies like marinated duck and snail soup. Additionally, consider attending the renowned Tharu dance performance and cultural acts featured in the Tharu Cultural Program.

You’ll conclude the day with an overnight stay in Chitwan, undoubtedly brimming with memorable experiences.

Day 4Explore Chitwan national park with jungle activities and late afternoon fly to Kathmandu

Rise early, for today promises an exhilarating jungle safari adventure. Opting for a jeep safari offers a more immersive experience, allowing you to delve deep into the heart of the jungle. In the span of a half-day, this safari will take you along the rugged trails, where you’ll have the chance to encounter an array of wildlife, including the iconic one-horned rhinoceros, graceful deer, vibrant peacocks, kingfishers, elusive blackbucks, and a variety of marsh-dwelling creatures. With a touch of luck, you may even catch a glimpse of the regal Bengal Tiger.

Upon returning to your hotel, refresh and recharge. Later, explore the bustling streets of Thamel, where you can indulge in some souvenir shopping. This is followed by a delightful farewell dinner in Nepal.

Day 5Patan and Bhaktapur Sightseeing and evening final departure from Kathmandu

Depending on your departure time, you have the option to spend the morning exploring the city further. One excellent choice is to take a drive to Patan, an ancient Newari town located in close proximity to Kathmandu, renowned for its rich art, history, and culture. A visit to the Patan Museum will grant you a glimpse into antiquity, displaying an array of weaponry, tools, paintings, and sculptures from bygone eras.

Alternatively, consider a visit to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, yet another UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering a deep dive into the vibrant Newari culture. The Bhaktapur Museum is a treasure trove of artwork and personal artifacts belonging to the Shah and Malla Kings of yesteryears.
