Rest and rejuvenate for the night in Paro.

As you ascend, be prepared to be captivated by breathtaking views of the towering mountains and the picturesque Paro valley from the monastery’s summit. While the trail can be steep in some sections, technical climbing is not required. The entire hike typically takes around 5 to 6 hours to complete. It’s important to maintain your own pace, and consider using hiking poles for added support. Wear sturdy hiking boots and stay well-hydrated throughout the journey.

The trek to Taktsang Monastery commences on a dirt trail at the base of a mountain, with stretches of gravel and rocky terrain along the way. The trail is uphill for the entirety of the journey.
